Dr. Clayton McCarl Jr.

Growing up in Greenbelt as part of a dental dynasty, Dr. Clayton McCarl Jr. literally learned the practice from the ground up. Starting as the office "yard boy" mowing the lawn in summers, he progressed to becoming a certified dental assistant by age 19, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and uncle who all practiced together.

After beginning his undergraduate studies at Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College), Dr. Clayton transferred to the University of Maryland College Park where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to attend the University of Maryland Dental School, graduating alongside his brother Jay in 1984.

With nearly four decades of experience, Dr. Clayton brings a wealth of knowledge and a personal touch to every patient interaction. His commitment to continuing education is evident in his active membership in the Maryland State Dental Association, American Dental Association, and his achievement of Fellow status in the Academy of General Dentistry. As a charter member of the prestigious Triple Crown Study Club, he remains at the forefront of dental advances.

Regularly recognized with "Top Doc" awards, Dr. Clayton's professional excellence is matched by his community spirit. When he's not caring for patients, you'll find him exercising, traveling, or spending quality time with family and friends. Dr. Clayton also loves cheering on his grandchildren at their sports games and is a proud Maryland Terps and Baltimore Ravens fan.
